Project Description

The Hub was engaged by a private client to develop a privately initiated investment proposal (PIP) for the procurement, financing, operation and maintenance of 255 compressed natural gas (CNG) powered buses to operate on the Phase 2 (Gerezani to Mbagala) corridor in Dar es Salaam.

Services Provided

Leading a team of consultants and suppliers including the BRT bus supplier, BRT operator, lawyers, CNG supplier and client in the structuring of the PIP.
Leading the development of the financial model for the project
Leading the undertaking of detailed feasibility studies including economic, commercial, fiscal implications of the project, pricing framework and risk allocation
Preparation, presentation and justification of the proposal to the Dar Transit Agency (DART) and the PPP Centre
Advising client on the financing of the project
