The Hub was engaged by a private client to develop a privately initiated investment proposal (PIP) for the procurement, financing, operation and maintenance of 255 compressed natural gas (CNG) powered buses to operate on the Phase 2 (Gerezani to Mbagala) corridor in Dar es Salaam.
Services Provided
- Leading a team of consultants and suppliers including the BRT bus supplier,
BRT operator, lawyers, CNG supplier and client in the structuring of the PIP. - Leading the development of the financial model for the project.
- Leading the undertaking of detailed feasibility studies including economic,
commercial and fiscal implications of the project, pricing framework and
risk allocation.
- Preparation, presentation and justification of the proposal to the Dar
Transit Agency (DART) and the PPP Centre. - Advising the client on the financing of the project.
