Project Details
Miundo Misingi Hub has supported the County Government of Taita Taveta, Kenya, in conceptualization, fundraising for feasibility studies and management of feasibility studies of the 100,000m3/day Njoro Kubwa Bulk Water PPP project that is envisaged to address the water challenges in Taita Taveta and neighboring counties.
Services Provided
- Development of the project’s concept note.
- Supporting the County Government to acquire approvals from the National Treasury to procure the project as a PPP.
- Training the County Executive, management of the County’s Water Service Provider- TAVEVO Water & Sewerage Company and the Board of the Taita Taveta Investment & Development Corporation on the use of PPP to develop the project.
- Development of proposals and fundraising for a Project Preparation Facility to finance the feasibility studies and project preparation.
- Working with the National Treasury, County Government, Attorney General’s Office and the African Legal Support Facility(ALSF) in operationalizing the Project Preparation Facility
- Working with the County Government and the ALSF in developing the Terms of Reference for Consultants to undertake feasibility studies.
- Supporting the County in offering oversight and management of the consultants and feasibility studies.
