Capacity Building

Capacity Building.

Insufficient capacity to package bankable infrastructure projects has been cited as one of the challenges stifling the flow of private sector investment into the continent. Unfortunately, governments and educational institutions across Africa have not invested heavily in building practical capacity in infrastructure financing and development

The Hub believes that equipping more professionals with practical skills and knowledge in the efficient structuring and packaging of infrastructure projects is a key enabler to attracting investment in the continent. The Hub is convinced that more needs to be done to help the private sector to not only evaluate and negotiate for infrastructure projects presented by governments but also package compelling privately initiated investment infrastructure proposals.

The Hub has been on the forefront of championing action-based training and capacity building initiatives that address and resonate with the challenges facing the continent. There is need to demystify and contextualize project finance and the Public-Private Partnership model so as to make them effective models that can address the widening infrastructure financing gap.

The Africa Project Finance Program by the Miundo Misingi Hub is carefully structured to equip mid to senior level professionals involved in the infrastructure sector with knowledge and experience necessary to enhance their efficiency in the infrastructure finance and development space. Having trained more than 300 professionals from 15 countries in the last 10 cohorts, the program is slowly building a critical mass of pace setters who will influence infrastructure delivery in Africa.

The Graduate Infrastructure Program has been structured for university graduates and new job entrants who want to build a solid career in the infrastructure sector. It was developed out of the need to equip new job entrants with basic practical experience required to enter the infrastructure sector in Africa.

The Hub also delivers bespoke training programs aimed at addressing specific needs of clients in the infrastructure sector. All the trainings and capacity building initiatives are delivered by an experienced Faculty comprising of trainers from our Partners and selected infrastructure leaders from across the globe.
