Janet is a Trade & Investment Specialist with over 15 years of professional experience obtained through working for pan-African banks such as Ecobank and Stanbic Bank at senior trade positions. She brings on board vast practical experience in the structuring, negotiation and closure of trade financing solutions for infrastructure projects in the East African region.

Besides, she has offered various trainings on trade to banks and various organized groups. She recently delivered training on Trade Finance to over 200 Bank of Africa staff members as a Co-instructor. In addition, she is also an working as an Independent Consultant on various international trade assignments cutting across trade facilitation, trade finance & impact investing.

Janet is also the Founder & Chief Executive Officer of ImpactDev Africa, an Impact platform which helps organisations to actively consider their environmental and social impact in their investments and decision-making processes. She has also appeared on various platforms as a panelist or speaker and advocates for private sector participation on Africa Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) matters. She recently produced a report on AfCFTA titled ‘’ Potential Impact & Challenges for the implementation of the AfCFTA in East Africa: Case Study of Kenya’’.

Janet also represents Cornerstone Performance Solutions (CPS) South Africa offering adaptive learning solutions within the areas of Trade finance, Agile Leadership, Customer Solutioning & Sales, Finance, Risk & Compliance, and Business Acumen & Adaptiveness in East Africa.

Janet holds an MSc in International Trade & Finance from London Metropolitan University an MBA-Finance from Newport University and is accredited International Trade Specialist (ITS).
