Between 17th and 20th April 2023, Miundo Misingi Hub held an exposure forum for students undertaking the Msc. Development Finance Programme at Strathmore University Business School (SBS).

The forum sought to take the students through sessions on the important considerations to factor in when managing and financing infrastructure projects in Africa. The forum included a two day executive training session with our Consultants who are industry experts that expanded the knowledge base for the students using practical examples and presentations.

This was followed by action-based learning with a visit to Equity Bank Limited, with the aim of understanding the financier’s perspective, an engagement with Members of the National Assembly of Kenya to gain policy understanding on infrastructure development, and a study tour to Olkaria Geothermal Project to understand the dynamics of financing the mega geothermal infrastructure projects implemented by KenGen Kenya.

The forum provided an excellent opportunity for participants to exchange knowledge and experiences in infrastructure development financing in Africa.

The Miundo Misingi Hub remains committed to bridging the gap between the infrastructure industry and the academia while offering practical solutions to addressing challenges in the financing and implementation of sustainable infrastructure solutions in Africa.
