The Africa Project Finance Program now offering a path towards APMG PPP Certification

The Africa Project Finance Program is perfect for anyone who wants an in-depth but practical understanding of Project Finance & Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs). A look at the program syllabus will quickly show that this is not your typical course aimed at imparting theoretical knowledge and awarding a completion certificate. Rather, it is an action based program aimed at equipping professionals with the skills to navigate the complexities associated with real life infrastructure finance and development, and deliver projects efficiently and effectively.

“We ensured that the program offers an insight into real life project finance and delivery experiences including successes and failures of key projects, as well as from different professional perspectives including finance, legal, managerial, tax and  dispute resolution just to mention a few. This is the proud statement of Johnson Mwawasi, the Chief Executive Officer, Miundo Misingi Hub which offers the Africa Project Finance Program in partnership with Lean Africa Consultants, a Nairobi based Project Finance and PPP Advisory firm.

The three-month intensive Africa Project Finance Program (APFP) comprises 60 hours of real life project based theoretical training, six candid talks by infrastructure industry experts from across the globe and a visit to an ongoing mega infrastructure project in the East African region.

In a move aimed at adding more value to its participants, the Hub has now partnered with Accredited Course Africa (ACA) from South Africa, to offer participants the opportunity to acquire an internationally recognized PPP certification at the end of their training.

Thanks to the knowledge already acquired through the APFP, participants will spend less time and course money to acquire the APMG Certified Public Partnership Practitioner (CP3P) accreditation if they so choose“, explains Johnson. “Together with ACA, we have designed a special short Exam Readiness Program towards the attainment of this accreditation, having taken into account that the APFP already covers about eighty percent of what is required for the APMG examination. We are proud to announce that the Hub is offering this at a highly discounted rate for our participants.”

“Accredited Courses Africa is proud to be an accredited training organisation by the APMG. ACA applauds the Hub for its intention to bring the CP3P accreditation program in a very affordable manner to participants of the APFP, says Aloushka van Vuuren, director of ACA.

APMG leads the internationally renowned CP3P Certification Program. It is an innovation and collaboration between the Asian Development Bank (ADB), the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) and the World Bank Group (WBG). The program is part funded by the Public-Private Infrastructure Advisory Facility (PPIAF).

According to Aloushka, “ACA designed the Exam Readiness Sessions for participants who already have gathered knowledge that they will be tested on during the APMG CP3P exams. Some may have studies the required, large CP3P Foundation, Preparation or Execution guides while others may require this via a training such as the Africa Project Finance Program.”

The Africa Project Finance Program will offer the first CP3P Exam Readiness session covering the CP3P Foundation exam preparation at a reduced introductory rate for participants of its 8th cohort which commences on the 11th of October 2022. Registration is currently ongoing and can be accessed via https://lnkd.in/eiR_z5B.
