Last week, our CEO Johnson Mwawasi and our COO Peter Kabuki had the pleasure of meeting with the PPP Directorate led by the Director General Chris Kirigua. Discussions centered on areas of partnership and collaboration in advancing the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) agenda in Kenya, and how the Hub could support the Directorate in its mandate of delivering much needed infrastructure through the PPP model.
Our team was also able to introduce our action based capacity building programs to the Directorate, including our industry leading Africa Project Finance Program and our recently introduced Graduate Infrastructure Program, which are geared at building a deep pool of qualified and competent professionals who can help drive the infrastructure finance and development sector forward locally and across the region.
In addition the team had conversations around the Hub’s Project pipeline origination work geared at helping bridge the gap in the supply of bankable and implementable PPP projects in Kenya.
We look forward to continued engagement with the Directorate and supporting the critical work that it is tasked with.
